Conall Ó Domhnaill, or Condaí Mhicí Hiúdaí Ó Domhnaill as he was known locally, was originally from the Rann na Feirste Gaeltacht in Donegal. He was a well-respected singer and this book contains essays that he wrote on various aspects of Gaeltacht life.

Conall died on the 8th of June 2003.
