Éamonn Ó Dónaill

Éamonn Ó Dónaill is originally from the Donegal Gaeltacht of Gaoth Dobhair. He spent six years (1996-2002) working as Director of the Department of Modern Irish’s Language Centre, UCD. He was editor of the online magazine Beo! (www.beo.ie) from its establishment in 2001 until September 2007.

Éamonn has been language co-ordinator of two television series aimed at learners: Turas Teanga (www.rte.ie/tv/turasteanga), which was broadcast by RTÉ in 2004, and Now You’re Talking which was shown on BBC and RTÉ in 1995. He also wrote the books which accompanied those two series. His most recent books are Gramadach gan Stró! (2008/2016) (www.siopa.ie), Essential Irish Grammar (2010) and Gaeilge gan Stró! - Lower Intermediate Level (2010) (www.siopa.ie).

He is one of the founders and directors of Gaelchultúr Teoranta (www.gaelchultur.com). Éamonn has been Director of Education with Gaelchultúr since 2005.
