Leachlain S. Ó Catháin was born in Ros Mhic Thriúin, Co. Wexford. He has been a practicinig solicitor in Cork for more than 35 years. Aside from his legal qualifications he has a degree in Irish and Classical Studies. He is one of the founding members of FASACH - a group set up for the advancement of legal issues through Irish. He is recognised for his writing and speaking on matters relating to Law and the Irish Language and related subjects. He is married with 4 children.
