An tIomaire Rua was first published in 1939. In addition to the original account this new edition comes with new material: maps, pictures, and reports taken from newspapers and other sources of the period. It is an account of the war waged by Volunteers from north County Galway on the Black and Tans and the R.I.C. during the War of Independence.
