History is written by heroines who took bold stands against their oppressors in the name of justice. From Joan of Arc to Emmeline Pankhurst, from Rosa Parks to me, Emily Porter. This is the story of how, in the Summer of 1994, I stood up against my Oppressors (my parents) and how I came out the other side a changed person. It’s a tale of a lost teenager, of lost innocence, and a lost pair of white Pepe jeans (I’m not too worried about the innocence but I really miss those jeans).
