Father Donnchadh Ó Floinn, Professor of Irish in Maynooth (1940 – 1964) did more than any of his contempories to foster the philosophy and theology of the Gaelic tradition. He left behind him a group of scholars who kept the flame alight but today few remember him or his inspiring lectures. That is why Cumann na Sagart decided to publish this collection of his essays. They are edited by Father Pádraig Ó Croiligh who also wrote the introduction.
