The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam is one of the most famous museums in the world. Hundreds visit it each day. Stiofán Ó hAnluain, who has Alzheimer’s and who has escaped from the nursing home, is amongst those on this particular day. In the upper gallery Stiofán makes his way up to a parapet wall that is three storeys above ground and there is every likelihood that he will commit suicide and jump. The eyes of everyone in the museum are on him. Calls are being made to his family in Ireland. And Stiofán is in two minds. Or three...
